'Casey' is an acting showreel piece written and starring Rachel Shenton, directed by Chris Stone.

Rachel Shenton’s acting career began when she was just eight years old.

After showing a strong interest in the drama, her mum and dad decided to take her to drama lessons at Amanda Andrews Drama School and agency. It was there where Rachel’s interest soon turned into something more serious.

After taking L.A.M.D.A examinations in a variety of acting genres including William Shakespeare, Rachel knew that this was the career she needed to pursue, and there for after leaving school went on to take a National diploma in Performing arts at her local college. Whilst studying at college, Rachel had a number of auditions before landing a lead role in BBC drama Holby city, where she played Katrina Hobshaw a young aids victim, shortly after that she landed another lead in well known series ‘Doctors’ where she played Sadie Slade a teenage mother of two.

From then Rachel went on to secure a contract with Bulldog broadband as the voice over artist for their start up disk.

Rachel says ‘I absolutely love what I do, and just hope that I keep acting’ After Bulldog broadband Rachel appeared in a crime watch reconstruction about an armed robbery.

Whilst training with David Johnson in Manchester Rachel had a number of auditions for Hit series Waterloo road, before finally landing a role as sixteen year old Courtney Walsh.

Rachel said ‘the filming was fantastic, and I loved playing a bad girl’.

Shortly after leaving Waterloo road, Rachel found herself back on the set of award winning daytime drama Doctors, this time playing the part of Jade Hearn.

Rachel says ‘I was really pleased to get Jade, I had a lot of fun on Doctors last time round, everyone was great to work with, so I couldn’t wait to get back’.

Since Doctors Rachel has been busy working on Feature film ‘Moneykills’ by Feelmedia production company. Playing a feisty Russian by the name of Anya. ‘Anya is by far the most challenging role yet both physically and mentally and I have loved every minute’ collapse
